On Saturday we decided to goto Mantri Square which is India's largest mall. The thing to be noted is that it is definitely a great mall with lots of shops and lots of options. The flip side is reaching Mantri mall is extremely difficult and usually during evening times there is lot of traffic jam due to thousands of mall visitors.
Our initial plan was to go to Kemmangundi, but since we did not find any accomodation in the homestays or resorts of our choice, we decide to goto Kudremukh. Of course Kudremukh is not as good as Kemmandagundi , but still we enjoyed a lot. This township was built for the Government owned Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL) for its activities. Mining have been stopped now and a National Park have been set up with name Kudremukh National Park. The town is sorrounded by lofty peaks and dense forests on all sides. Kudremukh is in Chikmaglur district.

Mysore is around 140 kms from Bangalore
Mysore is famous for the festivities that take place during the Dasara festival when the city receives a large number of tourists. Mysore also lends its name to the Mysore mallige, the Mysore style of painting, the sweet dish Mysore Pak, the Mysore Peta (a traditional silk turban) and the garment called the Mysore silk saree. Inspite of thousands of tourists visiting Mysore its still a clean place.
Bandipur is a perfect destination for wildlife lovers - a paradise for wildlife and bird watching. Visitors and birders can spot animals and birds either from vehicles or on elephant back.
